AlphaEarth has been food producing paradise for 30 years.
I've created this webpage in hope of finding an aspiring farmer family who would love the opportunity to grow organic produce by continuing to work the food producing market gardens as their own venture.
Long term rental lease of farmhouse on 12 acres with the added advantage of having the owner also living on the property who has for 30 years passionately worked with Mother Earth producing and eating our own fresh organic live food and medicine.

We've turned a barren cattle property into a sub-tropical paradise environment to provide a healthy rural lifestyle for our family (small primary school 50 mtrs up the road).
Owner is passionate about the future of food security and is keen to transition back to growing produce for the community by keeping the market gardens producing. The property can provide for a thriving market garden business, CSA or selling through the abundant community markets and local businesses screaming for local produce. Farming requires a good ethic and consistent dedication on a daily basis for optimum return and nutrition. Farming teaches you to respect the true essence of all of earth's elements, to embrace any challenges (climate) and create ecosystems that work for you. Good essential planning will result in continuous seasonal and/or perennial crops for you and others to benefit from. Over the years we've grown specialty crops and medicinal plants depending on client demand. Good success with 'planting-to-order' crops.
Value adding produce also a huge benefit (and commitment) so there is minimal waste. Example a bumper fresh mango crop > green-chutneys, juicing, pulping-fruit lassi, frozen treats, or dehydrating them @$65 kg..
AlphaEarth's aim is to transition to a family/couple/partnership with the professional mindset for organic farming and the skills to operate a long term business for themselves utilising the extensive market gardens for food production. The right connection will have the opportunity of the current set up for market gardening (big investment post cyclone Debbie - so a near clean slate). There is ample space to expand and evolve.

A tad under 12 acres, situated near State and National Parks within the Northern Rivers of NSW, Australia.
Once a barren cattle property we've worked to regenerate a sizeable parcel of the land into rainforest, nurturing it as food for wildlife and seed stock for possible expansion.
AlphaEarth was a typical hobby farm where all my children grew up with their animals, sports and rural activities and the many rewards of a healthy environment and great lifestyle. There are many valuable aspects of the property: the infrastructure is all here to grow a variety of nutrient rich produce for farmers markets/cafes/restaurants ~ it has amazing rich red volcanic soil that can grow abundance all year round in a subtropical climate; of great value is the continual source of water from the high rainfall the area can attract and a continuous spring fed creek running through the property; best positioned property in the community being an elevated position with excellent air currents and coastal breezes. Established irrigation lines to all working areas and 3 greenhouses.
Currently have two cows who give beautiful offspring - providing organic no-stress beef and keep the paddock clean. Though the land could be developed for more production.
The property has large farm and market produce gardens - over 2000m2 (with room to extend); exotic tropical and subtropical fruits (bananas need to be re-established); blue egg laying/mixed poultry providing free range eggs, have incubators and breeding boxes which can all result in a modest return. Reputable connections with cafes and businesses in the region always interested in my produce. We were reliably providing fresh, alive (picked on the day) produce twice a week for over 16 years. In addition there are numerous local farmers markets throughout the week, not to mention the regions high traffic Sunday markets and Brisbane/Gold Coast within an hour or two's drive.
The children have all moved on and have no interest in the property thus finding it difficult to physically manage as I age.
Thus would love to find a family who wants this fruitful lifestyle and the opportunity of mentoring a succession of something already established. Owner is open to other innovative sustainable farming techniques. After a trial period, am open to the opportunity for successful tenants to create their own individual systems/techniques and open to negotiate a legal agreement for Lease to Buy or Business Lease utilising the property. Owner wishes to sharefarm, building and living in a second separate small dwelling (this will value-add the land and could be later used as an AirBnB).
My ideal manifestation is someone with some organic farming skills (biodynamic /permaculture a bonus); who will fall in love with the AlphaEarth energy here; have a passion for nutrient rich food production; has good business savvy; and be open to the concept of 'Ageing on Farm', thus sharing my years of experience and wisdom and knowledge of how everything has previously worked here.
Ideally, a family with some equity to contribute towards use of all the machinery and support future infrastructure eg commercial market kitchen would be a bonus as the property is registered as a food premises. May also consider the opportunity to partner/own a financially promising retail business, value-adding a AlphaEarth specialty crop (turmeric), owner has trialed and branded her own turmeric products ready to take to the next level, a good customer base with ongoing demand, one product already has investor interest.
Included in arrangement can be made for use of all my market gardening equipment, including a John Deer 950 4WD tractor with implements - slasher, large rotary, ripper plus a 8.5hp garden cultivator. Ride on with trailer. Market gardens have one and half inch hoses with brilliant pressure. Irrigation and gravity fed could easily be established. Incredible library, permaculture, grass roots.
The 100yr old solid farmhouse hand built from local timbers (extended) has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large kitchen dinning area, enclosed verandahs, extended back verandah and outside deck area. Recently repainted inside, outside work and painting also recently completed.

Giving you a rough idea of where the property is in this unique alternative region. Due east is Byron Bay (45mins) .. property approx 1500ft above sea level and situated west of Rocky Creek Dam which is the regions' main water supply. Property catches the south east breezes from the sea so has a perfect positioning. And just down the road our beautiful Falls & swimming hole.
